Alfonso Pedraza sends Twitter message to Leeds fans

By Dominic Toner

Leeds midfielder Alfonso Pedraza has claimed on Twitter that he is focused on working hard to help the club achieve their goals this season.

The 20-year-old completed a loan move to Elland Road in January and has made six appearances so far.

The Spanish winger managed to score in a 3-1 victory over Birmingham and has started the last three consecutive games in the Championship under Garry Monk.

He will hope to play a significant role during the remainder of the season as Leeds strive for promotion to the Premier League.

Pedraza has stated he is “working hard to achieve the objectives of Leeds” on his personal Twitter account.

Leeds are currently without fixtures during the international break and resume their league campaign on 1 April against Reading.

The Yorkshire club are pushing for promotion this season and the play-offs appears to be their most likely outcome at the end of the campaign.

Monk’s side are currently fourth-placed and have an eight-point cushion ahead of Fulham in seventh.

Meanwhile, the Whites are eight points adrift of the automatic spots and look certain to be involved in the drama of the play-offs.

Monk has transformed the club into surprise promotion contenders in his first season in charge and has made several smart signings already during his tenure.

January addition Pedraza has impressed fans with his skill and had made a relatively fast start during his first taste of English football.
