Antoine Semenyo set for offer after Tottenham twist – Insider

Bournemouth could offer Antoine Semenyo another new contract amid transfer interest from the likes of Newcastle United and Tottenham.

This is despite him having recently signed a new five-year contract at the Vitality Stadium in the summer to commit his long-term future to the Cherries.

According to former Man United, Tottenham and West Ham scout Mick Brown, exclusively speaking to Football Insider, the winger’s agent has been drumming up interest in his name in an attempt to land an improved deal from his current club.

Football Insider reported on 14 October that Arsenal have joined Tottenham and Bournemouth in keeping tabs on the in-form 24-year-old.

Since his move to the South Coast in 2023, Semenyo has scored 12 goals and provided three assists in 56 games, with three goals and one assist in eight games so far this season.

He has also started all eight of the Cherries’ league fixtures so far and has established himself as a crucial part of Andoni Iraola’s side.

Brown claimed the rumours surrounding the winger’s future have come from his agent, and has insisted the offer of a new contract is growing increasingly likely.

Antoine Semenyo in line for new Bournemouth deal amid agent twist

Brown previously told Football Insider that Bournemouth will price teams out of a move for Semenyo with a £40-50million demand for their in-form star.

Now, the former scout who remains very well-connected within the game and has a wealth of experience working with players and agents at the top level, has insisted that

I’m told a lot of this talk is agent-led,” he told Football Insider.

“They’re putting out the word on their client to drum up interest in his signature.

“That could land him a new deal at Bournemouth, because it’s a two-way thing.

“I know the club think highly of him and don’t want to see him leave so they could discuss a new contract to put off interest.

“But the agent will be saying that if they don’t offer a contract, there’s now interest from other clubs, so it’s a win-win situation for them.

“That’s how agents work these days, they’re always looking to make things happen.”
