Antonee Robinson reacts to goodbye message as Fulham exit is confirmed

Antonee Robinson reacted to a message from Fulham teammate Joachim Andersen on social media.

Andersen re-joined Fulham in the summer from Crystal Palace, having played for the Cottagers on-loan during the 2020/21 season.

That campaign ultimately culminated in relegation, forcing the Danish centre-back to search for alternatives to the West London club.

Andersen ultimately ended up at Selhurst Park where he enjoyed three successful seasons, but when presented with the opportunity to head back to Craven Cottage, the former Lyon man jumped at the opportunity.

The 28-year-old has settled into his old digs surprisingly quickly, and apart from a late-season dip in form, the ex-Sampdoria man has impressed.

Joachim Andersen heads off on holiday after first season back with Fulham

Following a 2-0 loss to Man City on the final day of the Premier League season, Andersen took to Instagram to share a message with Fulham fans that read: “First season back in [white and black].

“Enjoyed every bit if it. Been ups and downs and not enough consistency from our side but definitely a good season with record points tally in Fulhams history, playing some great football along the way. Looking forward to 2 games with Denmark and then some holiday!

Thanks for the support during the campaign, looking forward to an even better season where we hopefully can give u more to cheer about. Have a good summer”.

The message was liked by Liverpool transfer target Robinson, showing support for his teammate before he departs the club for some well-deserved rest.

Football Insider Verdict

Marco Silva may have plenty of suitors this summer, but the Fulham manager is set to stay in spite of rumours suggesting otherwise [Fabrizio Romano].

The Portuguese boss is the Whites’ most important piece of the puzzle, and this has led to interest from several high-profile clubs in the past season.

Al-Hilal were targeting Silva, following the departure of his fellow countryman Jorge Jesus, but for the second time in three years, they were rebuffed.

Fulham are knocking on the door of a return to European football, following a 13-year hiatus, but they will need a strong transfer window to push them over the line.

The Cottagers may look for improvements at right-back, central-midfield, left-wing, and striker this summer.
