Armando Broja could force Arsenal move as he ‘fits into the model right now’ – Campbell
Arsenal target Armando Broja could force a move away from Chelsea this summer, according to Kevin Campbell.
The former Gunners striker, speaking exclusively to Football Insider, claimed the 20-year-old hitman is “performing brilliantly” on loan at Southampton.
According to football.london (13 February), Broja is admired by Mikel Arteta with Arsenal monitoring the youngster ahead of the summer transfer window.
Football Insider first revealed last month (24 January) that West Ham were also planning a move for the Albania international during the winter window.
Campbell claimed the signing Broja would “tie into the model” at Arsenal as Arteta continues to persist with youth.
“The thing is with Chelsea, they have so many players,” he told Football Insider‘s Ewan Kingsbury.
“They might well say they don’t want to sell him to a rival. But if the young man wants a career, then he won’t want to be going out on loan all the time or stuck in the reserves – he’ll want to move.
“I don’t know how strong the interest is, but he’s certainly performing brilliantly at Southampton. He looks a right handful and he’s a young striker, which ties into the model at Arsenal right now.
“I don’t know what their stance is on selling to a top-four rival, but Chelsea won’t be able to keep everybody happy this summer – that’s for sure.”
Broja, who is contracted at Chelsea until 2026, has netted eight goals for Southampton this season.

Arsenal could be without a recognised senior striker in the summer.
Alexandre Lacazette and Eddie Nketiah are both out of contract in June.
