Arsenal fans react on Twitter as ladies smash Tottenham 10-0

Arsenal Ladies thumped rivals Tottenham 10-0 to reach the quarter-finals of the FA Cup on Sunday – and fans on Twitter used the victory to troll the men’s side.

The emphatic victory for the ladies’ side comes just one day after Arsenal were beaten 3-1 by West Brom in the Premier League, leaving them in deep trouble in their pursuit of a top-four finish.

Arsenal have now lost four of their last five Premier League games, leaving them sixth in the table and nine points adrift of rivals Tottenham.

Following the ladies’ win, Arsenal fans took to Twitter to ask if they could swap places with the men’s team, or at least teach them a thing or two in a bid to rediscover some winning form.

Here is a selection of their messages on Twitter:

Arsenal’s current winless streak has seen the pressure rapidly increase on manager Arsene Wenger.

The Gunners chief is out of contract at the end of the season, but with a new two-year extension on the table, fans have come out in protest following recent results.

However, Wenger has clarified that he has made a decision on his future, but has yet to make that decision public; which has done little to settle the rioting fanbase.

Since the start of February, Arsenal have lost to Chelsea, Bayern Munich (twice), Liverpool and West Brom; while their only wins have come against Hull, and non-league duo Lincoln and Sutton United.

In other Arsenal news, the Gunners have been hit by another injury setback, as an attacker is set for a spell on the sidelines.
