Arsenal idol shares bold Saka prediction amid ‘incredible’ Neville update

Kevin Campbell has tipped England manager Gareth Southgate to snub Arsenal winger Bukayo Saka for the Euro semi-final against Denmark.

Speaking exclusively to Football Insider, the former Gunners and Everton forward heaped praise on the 19-year-old but suggested he would be used as an impact substitute on Wednesday night.

Saka missed England’s 4-0 win over Ukraine on Saturday with a knock.

However, he has now fully recovered and has trained with the rest of the squad ahead of the semi-final at Wembley.

Gary Neville told Sky Sports on Tuesday that he wants to see Saka start against Denmark after his “incredible impact” against Czech Republic and Germany earlier in the tournament.

When asked by Football Insider correspondent Dylan Childs if he concurred, Campbell said: “I don’t think Saka will start against Denmark.

“It all depends on how Southgate sets them up. I can see him being on the bench.

“What we do know is that Saka can change the game off the bench if need be. He can give you that impact.

“Saka’s stock has risen so much in this tournament. He has showed just how good he is at 19-years-old. He’s a star.”

Jadon Sancho impressed on the right wing in the absence of Saka and will be hoping to retain his place against Denmark.

Southgate could also opt to recall Manchester City’s Phil Foden to the starting XI.
