Arsenal in race to sign Omar Marmoush – Transfer guru
Arsenal have joined Man City and a host of Premier League clubs in their pursuit of Eintracht Frankfurt forward Omar Marmoush.
This is according to former Man United chief scout Mick Brown, who remains very well-connected within the game, as he exclusively told Football Insider that scouts are actively monitoring his progress as the clubs weigh up making a move.
This comes after Football Insider revealed on 10 November that Frankfurt will demand £50-60million to sell Marmoush in the January transfer window.
The 25-year-old has scored 11 goals and provided seven assists in ten Bundesliga appearances so far this season, rising to 14 goals and ten assists in 16 appearances across all competitions.
This form, Brown has revealed, has attracted interest from some of Europe’s elite clubs who are looking to bolster their squads up front.
Both City and Arsenal are among those clubs, but will be rivalled by interested clubs from across Europe who are now keeping tabs on his form with Frankfurt.

Frankfurt are said to be reluctant to let their star player leave mid-way through the season, but are expected to entertain big-money offers next summer.
Brown, who spent over a decade at Man United during their most successful period and has a wealth of experience in top-level player recruitment, insisted that the growing interest has not yet been formalised, but scouts are keeping close tabs on his progress.
“A number of clubs are interested in him, from what I’ve heard,” he told Football Insider.
“If you’re putting up the sort of numbers he has been, you’re bound to attract interest.
“Man City have been mentioned, but there are a few Premier League clubs in need of a new forward who have him on their radar.
“Arsenal, for example, are in need of a striker and I’m told they’ve been looking.
“At the moment, it’s early days, so it may be they look at him and decide he’s not the one and then move on to other targets.

“But clubs are putting in the work, watching him, and that interest is growing.
“He’s playing in the Bundesliga, and these clubs will have scouts covering the Bundesliga who will be assessing his level and then they’ll make a decision.”
In other news, City staff are said to be concerned about Phil Foden.
