‘Arsenal season over’ – Fans in meltdown after Kai Havertz’s Dubai injury update

Arsenal fans have taken their frustration out on owner Stan Kroenke and are ready to “end the season” following an injury update on Kai Havertz.

Arsenal had no fixtures over the weekend after being knocked out of the FA Cup in the last round against Man United.

However, despite the lack of a fixture, fans were hit with an update regarding a potential injury to Havertz. Sami Mokbel from the Daily Mail reported that Havertz suffered a “worrying muscular injury scare” and that a full diagnosis remains “unconfirmed.”

Supporters had urged Arsenal to sign a forward in January due to ongoing injury concerns, but no attacking reinforcements arrived in the winter window.

Arsenal fans previously criticised the Kroenkes after Gabriel Martinelli suffered an injury against Newcastle, and they are once again directing their frustration at the ownership for failing to strengthen the squad.

Kai Havertz injury will worry Mikel Arteta

The Gunners have been hit hard by an injury crisis that has seen key players like Bukayo Saka, Gabriel Jesus, and Martinelli sidelined.

Arteta’s side were linked with several forwards in January, as seen when Arsenal made a late move for Ollie Watkins.

However, Aston Villa chose to prioritise the potential sale of Jhon Duran instead, and no further progress was made on signing an attacker.

If Havertz is injured, Arsenal will have no natural striker available, as Jesus suffered an injury last month.

This could force Arteta to find internal solutions, such as playing Leandro Trossard—who is naturally a winger—through the middle or turning to 17-year-old Ethan Nwaneri.

Arsenal fans direct anger at Stan Kroenke over lack of attacking signings

Football Insider reported that Arsenal have made Alexander Isak their top transfer priority for the summer, but immediate concerns remain, as the squad is now facing a potential striker shortage.

Many fans were surprised that the club failed to sign an attacker in January, given their lack of depth in the forward areas.

With no forward additions in the recent window, it has now been two years since Arsenal last made a permanent attacking signing—Trossard in 2023.

Following the latest injury update, frustrated fans have once again turned their anger toward owner Kroenke. One fan wrote, “Arsenal fans deserve better than this” using the hashtag #KroenkeOut, while another declared, “Season is over” echoing the same sentiment.
