Arsenal ‘will be raging’ after source’s Mykhaylo Mudryk reveal – ‘it’s not the first time,’ says pundit
Alan Hutton has insisted Arsenal “will be raging” with Chelsea for hijacking their deal for Mykhaylo Mudryk.
Speaking exclusively to Football Insider, the former Tottenham and Aston Villa defender said a player like Mudryk would have fit in really well under Mikel Arteta.
On 17 January, Football Insider revealed that the Gunners had attempted to hijack the Blues’ deal for the 22-year-old at the eleventh hour.

Arteta’s side proposed to match Chelsea’s bid for the forward but was believed to be too late in the day given how advanced the deal with Chelsea was.
Graham Potter’s side confirmed the signing of Mudryk on Sunday (15 January) on a eight-and-a-half-year contract.
Hutton feels for Arteta’s side after Chelsea’s ambush.
“I would be raging,” he told Football Insider.
“When you think about all the work that goes into a signing, the scouting, everything. The meetings, the back and fourth, of course you are going to be disappointed.
“It is not the first time. It just seems like Chelsea are hijacking a lot of transfers at this moment in time. It is not to say that they are not putting in hard work but they just seem to be cutting in front of everybody and splurging money.

“I think if Arsenal had got him it would have been a great signing. I have seen a lot of him playing against the likes of Celtic and for Ukraine.
“He is a really exceptional young talent so it is a shame that they did not get him. Arsenal are building something under Arteta and I think he could have fit in really well. I am sure they will be raging.“
