Aston Villa defender identifies main Leeds threat ahead of clash

Aston Villa’s Jordan Amavi believes that Leeds midfielder Hadi Sacko is a “very good player”.

Leeds host Villa on Saturday evening in the Championship and will hope to retain their place in the play-off positions.

Sacko has been an important player in the club’s success this season and has operated from the right wing for Garry Monk’s side

Villa defender Amavi is likely to line-up against Sacko on Saturday and has praised his opponent’s ability.

“Hadi is a very good player – he’s skilful, rapid and dangerous for any opposition defender. He’s definitely one to be wary of,” Amavi said, as quoted by the club’s official Twitter account.

Sacko is currently on a season-long loan move at Elland Road and his impressed the fans with his direct approach.

The 22-year-old is full of both pace and trickery, and he has proved unplayable at times for Championship defences.

He has made 21 appearances so far in a Leeds shirt, scoring one goal and supplying four assists.

Sacko will be keen to add more goals to his game and has the potential to link-up with in-form striker Chris Wood.

The Frenchman has featured in all 18 Championship matches this campaign and is certainly a favourite for manager Monk.

Aston Villa will be confident ahead of the clash against Leeds as they are undefeated in their last seven, but Leeds could look to threaten a defence that have kept just one clean sheet during that time.

In other Leeds news, the club’s supporters have urged Monk to start a goal-shy striker against Villa.
