Aston Villa may be forced into Keinan Davis U-turn after record-breaking development – Agbonlahor
Keinan Davis could force his way back into Steven Gerrard’s plans at Aston Villa this summer, according to Gabby Agbonlahor.
Speaking exclusively to Football Insider, Aston Villa’s record Premier League goalscorer insisted he “admires” his ex-teammate and he could force Gerrard into a U-turn in pre-season.
Birmingham Live reported earlier this week (27 June) that the 24-year-old is set to return to the club for pre-season training.

He spent the second half of the 2021-22 season on loan at Nottingham Forest as they won promotion to the Premier League via the play-offs.
Forest announced earlier this month (25 June) that they had signed striker Taiwo Awoniyi from Union Berlin for a club-record fee.
Asked whether that could impact Davis’ future, Agbonlahor told Football Insider correspondent Connor Whitley: “I don’t think Villa will struggle to offload Keinan Davis.
“You never know, Steven Gerrard might want to give him a full pre-season to show what he can do.
“He showed at Nottingham Forest what he can do and there is no reason why he cannot force his way into Steven Gerrard’s plans.
“He’s a player I really admire. A player with such speed and aggression and he’s a great finisher too.

“We don’t know what’s going on behind the scenes, maybe Nottingham Forest do want to still bring him in. They’ve brought in a record signing but Keinan Davis would be a great addition for them as well.
“It’s a tough one and maybe at the end of the day, it comes down to Keinan Davis. Does he have more chance of playing Premier League football with Nottingham Forest than he does at Aston Villa?”
In other news, Aston Villa are willing to listen to offers for a ‘whinging’ star.
