Aston Villa on track to smash their club record – sources
Aston Villa are on track to announce revenue of £260million from their 2023-24 season, sources have told Football Insider.
Unai Emery’s side achieved a top four finish last season which earned the club a spot in the newly-formatted Champions League.
Their impressive league finish will be rewarded by increased merit payments from the Premier League and Villa are also set to earn a bigger payout from facility fees after having more games televised last season than the year prior.
Villa also reached the semi-final of the Europa Conference League before bowing out to Olympiacos – their run in Europe is expected to add around £20million to their income.
As revealed by The Telegraph, Villa’s president of business operations Chris Heck plans to increase the club’s revenue to £400million by 2027.
Aston Villa set to smash record revenue with £260m reveal
Sources have told Football Insider that Villa have generated around £260million in their 2023-24 campaign which would be a new club record.
The Birmingham-based side revealed in their 2022-23 accounts that revenue grew from £178million to £217million after Emery’s first season in charge.
Combined with their improved on-pitch performances, Villa have also struck several commercial and sponsorship deals throughout the season including a long-term front-of-shirt deal with Betano and a kit manufacturer deal with Adidas.

However, the £17million earned from Villa’s Adidas deal may not be felt until their 2024-25 accounts with the German sportswear company starting the partnership this summer.
Prize money and commercial bonuses from the Champions League will also be included in Villa’s 2024-25 accounts meaning they are on track to once again break their revenue record and continue towards their £400million goal.
