‘Better than Messi’, ‘Utterly sublime’ – Celtic fans lose their minds over player v Motherwell
Celtic fans have absolutely lost their minds on Twitter after watching Tom Rogic’s sublime performance in the 0-0 draw with Motherwell at Fir Park on Sunday.
Rogic, 25, was able to dance around the home side’s defence on a number of occasions, running the show for the Hoops in attack as most of his team-mates failed to perform at their usual high standards.
It has been a good week for the Australia international, who scored in the 3-2 Old Firm win over Rangers at Ibrox last Sunday.
He appears to be on a real high at the moment, and fans couldn’t help but notice how well he was playing, with one saying that he is better than Barcelona superstar Lionel Messi.
Here is a selection of their tweets:
Rogic has made 32 appearances in all competitions for the Hoops this term, scoring five goals and supplying eight assists.
He was able to keep Charly Musonda on the bench ahead of the game when Brendan Rodgers decided to leave the Chelsea loanee on the sidelines yet again.
Unless something happens over the international break, it’s likely that Rodgers will stick with Rogic for the next Scottish Premiership game against Ross County at Celtic Park on March 31.
In other Celtic news, the Hoops are plotting a record-breaking summer swoop for this lethal finisher in the summer.
