Celtic have been installed as joint favourites to sign West Brom winger James McClean in the January transfer window, according to the latest bookmakers’ odds.
BetVictor have opened the market on McClean, 28, to leave the Hawthorns this month and have priced Celtic, Stoke and Burnley as 5/1 joint favourites to snap up the Republic of Ireland international.
Aston Villa (10/1) and Derby (10/1) are also in the running to sign the former Sunderland winger, who last month made it clear that he is eager to switch to Parkhead and play for the Bhoys before his career comes to an end.

McClean claimed in Decemer that he would “give anything” to play for the Glasgow giants, something which the majority of the clubs’ fans would also be on board with.
The Telegraph has previously reported that West Brom may consider cashing in on McClean this month despite rejecting a bid worth £8million from Burnley in the summer.
The Ireland winger has recently enraged Albion fans for his displays in the blue and white stripes.
In New Years’ Eve’s 1-1 draw with Arsenal at the Hawthorns, he turned his back on an Alexis Sanchez free-kick which he steered into the back of his own net.
Alan Pardew has given McClean more of a first-team role at the the Baggies than Tony Pulis did since there was a change of manager in the Black Country, however it appears that the bookies are tipping him to leave in the near future.
In other Celtic news, this 26-year-old has confirmed he is set to leave Parkhead this month and his agent has already been contacted by “attractive” clubs.
