'He does everything' – Rodgers makes bold prediction about future of £3m Celtic player

Brendan Rodgers has boldly predicted that fringe player Eboue Kouassi will eventually be Celtic’s replacement for Scott Brown.
The 20-year-old Ivorian has found first-team football hard to come by, since joining the Hoops last January for a fee of £3million from Krasnodar.
Despite his lack of game time, the Bhoys boss is a big fan of Kouassi and believes he has a massive role to play in Celtic’s future.
Rodgers has explained that this is due to the form of the Hoops captain, who plays in a similar position to Kouassi, and he maintains that the youngster still has a big future ahead of him in Glasgow.
“Eboue was brought in and he plays a specific role,” said Rodgers, as quoted by the Evening Times. “The Scott Brown role. It just so happens to be the captain, who’s been brilliant.”
“It’s not because of him, it’s because of the form of our captain.
“Eboue’s one who is brilliant in training, he does everything, and longer term he will certainly fulfil that role when Scott moves on.”
The Hoops captain has been a mainstay in the side which set a British record of 69 domestic games without defeat, whilst Kouassi has struggled since moving to Glasgow.
The player has had to deal with both a bout of malaria and a severe knee injury which have limited his playing time at the Scottish champions, he has only played nine times in a year.
The Hoops’ first match after the winter break is a Scottish Cup tie at home to Brechin City, a game which Kouassi may well feature in.
