Bruno Guimaraes bids farewell after confirmed Newcastle exit news
Newcastle midfielder Bruno Guimaraes took to social media to say goodbye to Miguel Almiron after his departure from the club.
Almiron, 30, has rejoined MLS side Atlanta United for a reported fee of £8million, six years after Newcastle signed him for a then club-record fee of £20million.
The Paraguay international made 223 appearances for Newcastle, scoring 30 goals, but has struggled for minutes under Eddie Howe this season.
The winger started just four of his 14 games across all competitions, failing to provide a single goal contribution in his 412 minutes of action for the Premier League side.

The central midfielder has been key for Newcastle this season, starting 24 of his 28 games across all competitions, scoring two goals, and providing eight assists in his 2292 minutes of action.
Guimaraes, 27, recently had to clear up his own future at the club, taking to social media to let the fans know what his plans for the future are.
The Brazil international took to Instagram to send Almiron a farewell message, saying: “Miggy, my friend. It was a great pleasure playing by your side. Thank you so much for your friendship and companionship. We made a great duo. I wish you all the best in your career, my friend. I’m going to miss you. We’re in this together.”

Newcastle players and staff were said to be emotional once Almiron had announced he would be leaving, Sky Sports journalist Pete Graves reported.
Howe’s in-form side will host Fulham on Saturday (February 1) as they hope to continue their march towards Champions League qualification.
