Bruno Guimaraes responds to Kieran Trippier’s ‘brilliant’ Newcastle message
Kieran Trippier shared a heartfelt message with Newcastle fans as speculation continues to swirl around his future at the club.
Newcastle players are still riding the wave of their historic Carabao Cup triumph, celebrating with a parade through the city over the weekend.
An estimated 150,000 Newcastle fans gathered at the Town Moor on 29 March, with thousands more lining the streets to witness the celebrations.
The Magpies’ victory over Liverpool on 16 March ended a 70-year wait for a major trophy, marking a significant moment in the club’s history.
Trippier played a key role in the triumph, lifting the trophy alongside Bruno Guimaraes and Jamal Lascelles in an emotional moment for the squad.
However, his future at Newcastle remains uncertain. Football Insider revealed that Trippier is among several players who could leave Newcastle this summer, with the right-back attracting interest from elsewhere.
Despite the ongoing speculation, the defender made sure to acknowledge the club’s passionate fanbase, expressing his gratitude in a message.

Newcastle fans call for Kieran Trippier exit amid transfer uncertainty
The 34-year-old took a moment to acknowledge the supporters after Newcastle’s cup parade, posting on Instagram: “Brilliant day today for the parade. Thanks for all the support.”
His message received plenty of reactions from players, with Marcus Rashford, Lewis Hall, and Joelinton liking the post, while Guimaraes responded with heart emojis in the comments.
Despite his close bond with the squad, Trippier was on the verge of leaving Newcastle in the January transfer window, with Galatasaray showing serious interest in signing him.
Football Insider revealed in December that Newcastle were open to accepting offers for Trippier, but injuries within the squad, including a setback for Lewis Hall, means the experienced full-back remains an important figure for the remainder of the season.

Newcastle eye Dean Huijsen as part of defensive rebuild
With a Carabao Cup victory secured and a push for Champions League qualification, the Magpies are looking to strengthen their defence ahead of next season.
Football Insider revealed that Newcastle have identified Dean Huijsen as a key target. However, their ability to land him may depend on whether they secure a Champions League finish.
Liverpool are currently leading the race for Huijsen as they prepare to invest heavily in defensive reinforcements, but Newcastle remain keen on bringing the highly-rated youngster to St James’ Park.
If Trippier does move on this summer, it would free up wages and allow the club to reinvest in a long-term defensive solution—potentially making Huijsen an ideal addition to the squad.
