Carl Jenkinson pays trubute to Jack Wilshere after award-winning month

Carl Jenkinson has applauded Arsenal loanee Jack Wilshere after the midfielder won Bournemouth’s Player of the Month award.
Jenkinson, 24, spoke of his pleasure to see his midfield teammate regularly playing again, when quizzed about Wilshere on Arsenal’s official website.
“He’s a pleasure to watch play football,” Jenkinson said. “We haven’t been able to do that enough over the last few years. Just to see him fit and well and playing every single week is a great thing.
“I know he’s loving his time there and enjoying playing every week because that’s all a footballer wants at the end of the day. I just hope he stays injury free. I think if he does that, he’ll be flying again.”
Wilshere was announced as the Cherries’ Player of the Month for November after featuring for 90 minutes in the wins against Liverpool and Stoke, as well as the loss to Sunderland.
Putting his injury-prone reputation behind him, Wilshere has played a crucial part in Eddie Howe’s midfield this season after moving to the Vitality Stadium on deadline day this summer.
Alongside the likes of Harry Arter and Dan Gosling, Wilshere has made 12 league and cup appearances as Bournemouth sit in a lofty 10th position in the Premier League table.
The England international’s loan to Bournemouth has clouded his future at the Emirates, with his contract at the North London side set to expire in just over 18 month’s time.
Wilshere is expected to feature for the Cherries this weekend, as they travel to top-flight new boys Burnley on Saturday.
A win for Wilshere’s loan side could see Bournemouth move as high as seventh as they continue to distance themselves from pre-season expectations of a relegation battle.
