Ange Postecoglou has made next job confession to Celtic dressing room after source’s Tottenham reveal – expert

Frank McAvennie has suggested Ange Postecoglou has told the Celtic players whether or not he will leave this summer.

Speaking exclusively to Football Insider, the former Hoops striker said Postecoglou won’t communicate his decision to fans until after the weekend’s Scottish Cup final.

Last week (25 May), this site revealed that Tottenham have made the 57-year-old a contender for their vacancy after talks with Feyenoord’s Arne Slot collapsed.

As quoted by Sky Sports (26 May), when asked about his future amid links to the Spurs job, the Hoops boss said his focus right now is on trying to win the cup final and nothing else.

McAvennie insisted fans shouldn’t expect to find out about the manager’s future plans until after the weekend.

We will not hear anything about it until after the Cup final that is for sure,” he told Football Insider.

He is not saying anything about the players at the moment. I would imagine he will be saying things in the dressing room that he is not saying to the rest of us.

It is the same with good players, everyone always talks about good players moving.

It is good for the club that they are doing well and the manager is never going to be away from the headlines because he has done brilliantly.

Celtic

The Australian has been on a 12-month rolling contract since his arrival at Parkhead in the summer of 2021.

Since taking over at Celtic, Postecoglou has taken the side to back-to-back Scottish Premiership titles and is closing in on a domestic treble if his side can beat Inverness on Saturday (3 June).
