Injury expert issues Celtic ‘blame game’ verdict amid Jullien return date latest
Ange Postecoglou is “spot on” on not to give a definitive timeframe when it comes to Cristopher Jullien’s return to action at Celtic.
So says injury expert Ben Dinnery, who runs the Premier Injuries site and has a background in medicine and data analysis.
Jullien, 28, has returned to training after a 10-month absence enforced by a knee ligament injury.

Speaking in his media conference on 10 November, Postecologu said: “Jullien is on schedule but I won’t put a return date on him.”
Dinnery insists the Australian manager is wise not to heap unnecessary pressure on the French defender.
He told Football Insider correspondent Adam Williams: “A lot of managers will refuse to give definitive timelines when they are asked.
“Ultimately, you are setting people up to fail if you do it that way. That can be the medical department, the sports scientists or the player themselves.
“It’s always best to err on the side of caution because the road to recovery is never straightforward.
“If he comes back sooner than anticipated, great. In the eyes of the media and supporters, you’ll get all the credit.
“But when things go wrong and timelines extend beyond the original estimates, people start to question you.

“People in the modern game will always look to blame someone. It poses questions that you could really do without answering.
“There are so many variables and external facto that can delay things, so he’s been spot on to take the pressure off everyone.“
