Celtic are confident of signing three new players before the end of this month, Football Insider can reveal.

The Scottish champions are working on multiple deals as they look to reinforce Neil Lennon's squad ahead of Champions League qualifying campaign starting next month.

The Scottish treble winners are also working on signing a right-back, a left-back, up to two centre-backs, a striker and a central midfielder.

Celtic are actively working on bringing in a right-back, having already bid for Sheffield United's George Baldock, as well as a commanding centre-back to replace Dedryck Boyata.

The club are keen on bringing in versatile players who can operate in a number of different positions, which explains their interest in rising stars from England, Joe Aribo and Luca Connell.

There is genuine hope from the club's hierarchy that two new signings in addition to Turnbull can be finalised with the next fortnight, allowing them to link up with Lennon for the start of pre-season training.
