Celtic fans: Graeme Souness has lost it after shock Rangers claim

Celtic fans believe Rangers legend Graeme Souness is “in denial” after he tried to use statistics to defend his former side.

The Hoops secured their third consecutive Old Firm victory on Sunday (1 September) by comfortably beating Rangers 3-0 at Celtic Park, but Souness felt the scoreline flattered the defending Scottish Premiership champions.

The pundit then used a plethora of stats during a TalkSPORT argument with Simon Jordan to try and push his narrative across.

The former Rangers player and manager pointed out that despite the convincing scoreline, the game didn’t sound one-sided when the stats were examined.

Souness conceded that there is a gap between the two clubs right now, but he believes that only exists because Celtic have better strikers.

Celtic currently sit five points above Rangers after the first four games of the 2024-25 season and remain undefeated.

Celtic fans weren’t impressed by Graeme Souness’ comments

Rangers fans visited Ibrox Stadium after the game to confront Philippe Clement about the defeat, voicing their displeasure about the performance.

The Hoops supporters were stunned by the pundits comments, claiming that he “had a mare,” and that he needs to “wake up.”

In other news, Rangers fans rage as they confront Philippe Clement outside Ibrox.
