Celtic fans react on Twitter as Rangers confirm Gerrard appointment
Celtic fans have been reacting with hilarity on social media to the news what Steven Gerrard has been confirmed as the next manager of Rangers.
The Ibrox club announced the news on their official Twitter account a short time ago.
Most Hoops fans don’t seem impressed with the appointment of a man who has never managed at the top level before, as he has previously only worked with Liverpool’s youth side, with one fan proclaiming ‘God help him’.

Gerrard is set to do battle next season against Brendan Rodgers, the two man who came agonisingly close to winning the league title with Liverpool in 2014, before a Gerrard slip cost the Reds in a match against Cheslea.
The appointment of Gerrard will at least add some star power to the Scottish Premiership, and it is a long time since the big two clubs in Glasgow have had such big names in charge.
Of course, just because you are a big name in the game doesn’t guarantee that you will be a success as manager, and Gerrard will need to get off to a good start in Glasgow to keep the fans off his back.
