‘Celtic fans started Rangers Go Fund Me page’
Rangers have had a Go Fund Me page created to pay for Philippe Clement to be sacked, but their Old Firm rivals are getting the blame for the situation.
Speaking on the latest edition of Football Insider’s Inside Track podcast, former Tottenham goalkeeper Paul Robinson admitted he “wouldn’t be surprised if it was Celtic fans” who created the page.
Clement is under mounting pressure at Ibrox Stadium, but sacking him would lead to the Scottish giants having to pay out a compensation package to the 50-year-old.
Rangers fans would be happy to see Philippe Clement move on
“I wouldn’t be surprised if it was Celtic fans who started the GoFundMe page, don’t believe all you read,” Robinson told Football Insider.
“There’s a lot of speculation about his future and there’ll be a lot of Rangers fans, a majority that will be happy to see him move on.
“But it’s the calibre of manager that you’re going to get in next, which is the important thing for Rangers.

“[They’re] Such a huge football club with such a global pull and power.
“What’s going on behind the scenes and the lack of funding there at the moment is going to be the issue.”
