Celtic news: Ange Postecoglou has transfer ‘problem’ after player confession – pundit
Alan Hutton has insisted trying to offload unwanted players will prove a “problem” for Ange Postecoglou and Celtic this summer.
The former Scotland international, speaking exclusively to Football Insider, claimed the Hoops would need to take a financial hit to “free up space” for new signings.
Speaking at his press conference (13 May), as quoted by The Celtic Way, Postecoglou confessed some players “could potentially be looking elsewhere” after struggling for game time this season.

He insisted it “doesn’t benefit anyone” having players out of the picture at Parkhead.
However, Hutton admitted the Bhoys may struggle to get some of their out-of-favour talent off the books.
Hutton told Football Insider’s Russell Edge: “This is the problem. It’s not worked out for those players, the likes of Barkas.
“He was brought in for £5million on a decent contract. He’s not played so nobody’s going to pay that. So you have to cut the losses.
“I mean, that’s the only way you can get these players out. To free up space, they’re going to have to do that. You have to be playing at a certain level for people to show any interest and they’re not there at this moment in time.
“That’s not to say that they can’t get there but at this moment they’re not. So Celtic are probably going to have to take a loss to try and get some of them out to allow the space to get their targets.”

Barkas, 27, has played just twice across all competitions this season.
The likes of Albian Ajeti and Ismaila Soro have also been on the fringes this term.
