Celtic star sends fans surprise message in huge fitness boost for clash v Rangers
Celtic goalkeeper Craig Gordon has delivered a huge boost to Brendan Rodgers ahead of the huge Old Firm clash against Rangers.
He returned to training on Wednesday, ahead of his expected return, and sent fans a message on Instagram.
In it he posted a picture of his boots and gloves, and said, “It’s been a while… loved having these back on today.”

The Daily Record reported the news and said that it was a surprise return after the 35-year-old was ruled out for three months with an injury in January.
He’s made 40 appearances for Celtic this season but has missed the last four Premiership games with injury.
Football Insider verdict:
Great news for Celtic as the veteran keeper was a big miss for Celtic in the Europa League game against Zenit in Russia. Dorus de Vries was Gordon’s stand-in but made a couple of howlers in the 3-0 defeat, and Rodgers will be glad that he’ll soon have Gordon back in action. There’s no indication that Gordon will play in the Old Firm clash game against Rangers but it does look like he will be back in time for the Scottish Cup semi-final against their bitter rivals next month.
