Chief executive: This is where reported Everton and West Ham target will be playing next season

Brentford chief executive Mark Devlin has told that star attacker Jota “will” be playing for the Championship club next season.

Sky Sports’ transfer centre blog (Wednesday 2.44pm) claims that the 26-year-old right-winger is being eyed by Premier League trio Everton, West Ham and Newcastle.

It is also detailed that the Bees value the Spaniard at £8million and are aware that he wants to play in the top-flight.

However, Devlin is confident that Jota will be lining up once more for the London-based Championship club and has strongly stated that he will playing at Griffin Park, rather than Goodison, or the London Stadium in the next campaign.

“As far as we are concerned, Jota will be playing his football at Griffin Park next season,” told Devlin, as quoted by Sky Sports’ transfer centre blog (Wednesday 2.44pm)

“There will be lots of conjecture about players from all clubs, particularly those that performed well last year. Jota came back into the side in January and was fantastic for the final few months of the season.

“It’s no surprise he’s been catching the eye but Jota and the rest of the squad will be back in pre-season in July.”

Jota would have caught the eye of a number of Premier League clubs after his starring performances for Brentford in the Championship last season, which saw him net a very fine 12 goals and five assists in 21 league appearances from a wide position.

But, he was only able to help the Bees to a 10th placed finish and with his contract coming to an end at the club next summer he could be on the move in the near future.

Meanwhile, both Everton and West Ham will be looking to bolster their attacking options this transfer window as the Toffees prepare for the Europa League, while the Hammers will be targeting a place in Europe next season.

In other Everton transfer news, talks have begun with this midfielder who is being eyed by the Toffees.
