Chris Rigg and Dom Solanke respond to Mikey Moore’s Tottenham message

Sunderland star Chris Rigg and Tottenham striker Dominic Solanke have responded to a message from Mikey Moore after Spurs won the Europa League.

Moore has played his part in Tottenham’s European success, appearing five times in the competition and notching one goal and an assist in the process.

But the 17-year-old had to watch on as an unused substitute Ange Postecoglou’s men beat Manchester United 1-0 on Wednesday, 21 May.

Even though Spurs have endured a poor Premier League season, the campaign will go down in Tottenham folklore thanks to their Europa League success.

Rigg and Solanke respond to Moore’s message as Spurs win Europa League

Moore could hope for a rare Premier League start on Sunday, 25 May, when Postecoglou’s men face Brighton on the final day of the season.

Meanwhile, after Tottenham beat Man United in the Europa League final in Bilbao, the teenager posted on Instagram: “It’s what we do mate.”

Solanke and Rigg both responded to Moore’s message by giving the post a like, while Lucas Bergvall commented: “Wow.”

Moore will hope for regular game time next term

Away from their historic Europa League triumph, Spurs have endured a largely disappointing campaign as they sit fourth-bottom in the Premier League with one game remaining.

Moore has endured a lack of game time this term

Amid those domestic struggles, in which several Tottenham stars have failed to perform at their best, Moore would have hoped to enjoy regular game time.

However, the England youth international has made just 10 Premier League appearances and was named in Postecoglou’s starting lineup in the top flight on just three occasions.

The teenager will hope to enjoy more minutes next season, regardless of whether Tottenham owner Daniel Levy opts to keep Postecoglou in the dugout.

In a small amount of game time, Moore has been able to showcase his class in the final third, as he has made two goal contributions in just five Europa League outings, as well as notching a Premier League assist.

From next season, the 17-year-old could have a big impact in North London if he is selected regularly.
