Chris Sutton trolls Rangers with four-word Twitter verdict
By Danny Wright
Chris Sutton has taken to Twitter to troll Rangers with just four words which is sure to cause some anger among the Ibrox faithful.
The former Celtic striker believes that the Light Blues will only manage a top half finish in the Scottish Premiership despite them securing a top three spot this term.
When asked by a Gers fan where Pedro Caixinha’s squad will finish next year, Sutton replied on his personal Twitter account by simply saying: “In the top half.”
Sutton, 44, spent six years at Celtic Park and won all there is to win in Scotland as he helped the Bhoys to a domestic treble in 2001.
He makes no secret of his animosity towards Celtic’s Old Firm rivals Rangers, who are likely to finish third in their first season back in the Scottish Premiership following their drop to the bottom tier of the league system.
Caixinha is expected to make wholesale changes to his squad over the summer as he tries to help the Light Blues catch up with Brendan Rodgers’ unbeaten Hoops.
Celtic are on the verge of securing a treble by ending the Scottish season without defeat.
Partick and Hearts are the Bhoys’ final league opponents this term while Aberdeen await in the Scottish Cup final at Hampden later this month.
