Chris Sutton instantly mocks Rangers after chaotic draw with Dundee
Celtic icon Chris Sutton immediately mocked Rangers as Russell Martin’s side made it two draws in two to start the Premiership season.
Hopes were high at Ibrox to begin the season, and for good reason.
Andrew Cavenagh and 49ers Enterprises’ takeover was confirmed, bringing with them an influx of positivity, but more importantly, money.

The new owners selected former defender Russell Martin to lead the charge, and signed the likes of Djeidi Gassama and Oliver Antman this summer.
But whilst the Bears have enjoyed a fine start on the continent, their domestic form is beginning to become a problem once again.
Chris Sutton mocks Rangers after draws with Dundee, Motherwell
Martin slammed his players’ lack of effort after they gave drew with Motherwell on the opening day of the season.
And the former Southampton boss’ woes continued, thanks to a Ryan Astley goal for Dundee and a Nasser Djiga red card in a 1-1 result.
James Tavernier, as he so often has done, rescued Rangers with a 92nd-minute penalty, but the draw means that the Bears have now dropped four points in their opening two games.
Wasting no time at the final whistle, Sutton took a jab at the Bears, posting sarcastically on X: “Good point for Rangers in the end…”
Dundee exploit issues with Russell Martin’s system
Football Insider Verdict
The same issues that reared their head when Martin was in charge at Southampton are showing at Rangers.
The Bears absolutely dominated the ball today, holding 76% of the possession.
But possession only means so much when you have the ability to exploit a backline at the same time, something Rangers are incapable of.

Two big chances were created in the draw between the two sides, one for Rangers and one for Dundee.
Until Martin figures out a way to not only hold the ball but also do something with it as well, his side will continue to drop points in matches they frankly should be winning at a canter.
