Rodgers right to start Roberts over Forrest
Celtic fans on Twitter were livid when Rodgers opted to start Roberts over James Forrest in his line-up on Saturday.
Forrest has been in sensational form in recent weeks, scoring two braces in his last two outings against both Ross County and Dundee prior to the Old Firm clash.
Although Roberts hasn’t made the headlines since returning to Glasgow, his spot in the XI was fully justified when he had the Rangers defence on the backfoot for most of the afternoon.
The English attacker didn’t mean his first assist, but his second to feed in Griffiths was simply sublime and that is the kind of cutting edge that the Bhoys need in the big fixtures.
