Cole Palmer shares past ‘enjoyment’ footage amid current Chelsea struggles

Chelsea attacker Cole Palmer has reflected on his “enjoyment” with the club amid his recent struggles in front of goal.

The England international had an incredible first season at Stamford Bridge during the 2023/24 campaign following his move from Man City.

That excellent form had continued into the early stages of this season, leading to Palmer being tipped as a future Ballon d’Or winner.

However, his form has fallen away considerably in recent months, which has led to claims from Chelsea fans that manager Enzo Maresca should be sacked for how he is using the 22-year-old.

Now, Palmer himself has sent a message in the wake of those problems, with an apparent reminder of how good he can be for the club.

Cole Palmer issues one-word message over past success

While things are not going well for him right now, the England international has already proven he has the talent to make an impact at the very top of the game.

On Tuesday (15 April), Chelsea posted a reel on Instagram showing just that, with a clip of a spectacular goal scored by Palmer in their 6-0 thrashing of Everton a year ago to the day.

Remarkably, the attacker has scored four goals in total in that win, and you wouldn’t blame him for wishing he could back to that form, having not scored in his last 14 games in all competitions.

Sharing that clip to his own Instagram story, the Chelsea ace then added a caption that simply read “Enjoyment” along with a smiling emoji.

There have even been suggestions that Palmer could look to leave Chelsea this summer amid his recent lack of form.

Right now though, it feels as if the Blues desperately need to be focusing on getting him back to the level he can perform at.

When the England international is at the top of his game, he is undoubtedly their best player who can drag the club to some absolutely vital results.

With Chelsea and Maresca under plenty of pressure to qualify for the Champions League in the final weeks of this season, getting him back to his very best is surely a priority for all concerned.
