‘Corrupt’ – Celtic fans react to latest cheating scandal, slaughter SFA and media
Celtic fans on Twitter have been reacting to the latest cheating controversy in sport, and how it compares to the SFA’s lack of action towards Rangers.
Two Australian cricketers, Steve Smith and Cameron Bancroft, have been found ball tampering during a match, and the condemnation has been brutal, with even the Prime Minister of Australia, as reported by BBC Sport, condemning the actions.
Some supporters on Twitter feel that Rangers cheated during the years they used EBTs, but the SFA have done nothing about it, and also took aim at the media for not reporting on it.
Here are some of the best reactions from Hoops fans on Twitter:
No doubt the debate on social media will rage on between fans of all clubs, but especially Celtic and Rangers fans, about the actions/non-actions of the SFA during the time of Rangers’ liquidation in 2012.
The debate has been taking centre-stage this week due to the controversial appointment of Alex McLeish as Scotland manager, who lost his first match in charge to Costa Rica 1-0.
Thankfully international football comes to an end this week, and both sides of the Old Firm are in league duty.
Rangers face a lunchtime trip to Motherwell with the Hoops in action against bottom of the table Ross County on Saturday, with the Bhoys on the verge of clinching their seventh league title in a row.
