Crystal Palace ‘tell’ Man United and Chelsea what it will cost to sign Daniel Munoz in January
Crystal Palace’s lofty transfer demands could be about to price Man United and Chelsea out of a move for Daniel Munoz in the January window.
Daniel Munoz has proven himself as one of the best full-backs the Premier League has to offer since he joined Crystal Palace from Genk in January 2024.
Munoz was linked to Barcelona and Man City in the most recent January window amid a season in which he registered six goals and eight assists in 46 games in all competitions.
He remained at Selhurst Park throughout the summer after winning the FA Cup and Community Shield, and has continued to impress this season with three goals and two assists in 20 games so far.
Chelsea are targeting a swoop for Munoz ahead of the new year, as revealed by Football Insider, while he has admitted that he would like to play for Man United with a potential January move on the horizon.
Palace to demand at least £30million for Munoz as he eyes huge wage increase
Munoz has been warned about his professionalism after those comments regarding a possible move to United, who he called a “dream” club to play for alongside other top sides.
Colombian outlet Bolavip have now revealed some new information around a potential departure for the 29-year-old, stating that the Eagles will not ask for less than $40million (£30m) to prise him from their grasp.
Palace are in a strong bargaining position considering his contract runs until 2028, with the report stating that PSG, Real Madrid, Inter Milan and other top European sides are also interested in signing him.

Munoz is also reportedly set to demand a wage of around $6m-per-year (£4.5m), with his current yearly earnings at Selhurst Park believed to be around $3.4m (£2.56m).
Palace are eyeing Sacha Boey amid Munoz uncertainty
Palace will not want to lose a key player like Munoz in the middle of the season, but they may well be forced to let him leave if a club pays the fee they are seemingly demanding for his services.
The Colombia international would be very hard to replace, with Football Insider recently revealing that Palace are interested in Bayern Munich’s Sacha Boey with a possible move in January mooted.
Oliver Glasner already arguably needs depth in the position behind Munoz, with Nathaniel Clyne nearing the end of his career at 34-years-old, and so Boey may not be the only right-back signed if the 29-year-old does leave.
