Darwin Nunez breaks silence as Liverpool ‘will accept offer’

Darwin Nunez has been at the centre of intense transfer speculation as rumours swirl about a potential summer exit from Liverpool.

Nunez has endured another inconsistent season at Anfield, leading to ongoing debates about his long-term future at the club.

Former Manchester United chief scout Mick Brown exclusively told Football Insider that Liverpool plan to accept offers for Nunez as they are already planning for next season.

This comes after Football Insider revealed that Nunez himself could push for an early exit from Liverpool, with Atletico Madrid emerging as the latest club linked with a move.

Amid all the uncertainty, the Uruguayan sent a message to fans while away on international duty, offering a glimpse into his mindset despite the speculation surrounding his future.

Arne Slot unconvinced by Darwin Nunez as Liverpool exit rumours grow

Nunez’s attention appears to be elsewhere, as he shared a post of himself on international duty with Uruguay, captioned: “Always first my country, my national team.”

The post received plenty of interaction from his Liverpool teammates, with Dominik Szoboszlai, Alexis Mac Allister, and Wataru Endo among those liking it.

However, Liverpool boss Arne Slot is not convinced by Nunez and has preferred to rotate him rather than rely on him as a regular starter.

The Uruguayan has made just eight starts in the Premier League this season, with Slot favouring alternatives such as Luis Diaz, Diogo Jota, and Cody Gakpo in the central role.

Despite recording seven goals and seven assists in 1,882 minutes this term, Liverpool seem to be planning for life without him, as speculation around his exit intensifies.

Liverpool eye Alexander Isak as Darwin Nunez replacement

With Nunez’s future uncertain, the Reds are reportedly preparing a major move to strengthen their attack.

Football Insider revealed that Liverpool are well-placed to sign Newcastle United’s Alexander Isak this summer, with the Swedish striker attracting significant interest after scoring 23 goals this season.

However, Liverpool may face competition, as Arsenal have made Isak their summer priority signing, who are also looking to bolster their attack.

If Isak decides to leave St James’ Park, a bidding war could be on the horizon between two of the Premier League’s top clubs.
