Declan Rice and Morgan Rogers react to Jobe Bellingham’s message after done deal
Jobe Bellingham was in high spirits on social media after confirmation of his transfer to Borussia Dortmund from Sunderland.
The Black Cats are back in the Premier League after eight years away, after Sunderland beat Sheffield United in the Championship play-off final.
But despite their long-awaited return to the top flight, interest in their top players hasn’t faded, and they’ll now be without one of their brightest talents.
It was confirmed on 10 June that Bellingham has officially joined Borussia Dortmund, following in the footsteps of his brother Jude.
Football Insider exclusively revealed back in May that Bellingham agreed verbal terms with Dortmund after holding talks with the likes of RB Leipzig and Eintracht Frankfurt.
In the end, the opportunity to follow his brother’s path and to wear the iconic black and yellow was too good to turn down.
After an emotional farewell at Sunderland, Bellingham shared a message with fans upon pulling on the Dortmund shirt for the first time, making it clear he’s ready for the next chapter.

Jobe Bellingham ‘excited’ to join Borussia Dortmund after Sunderland exit
The 19-year-old shared a message on Instagram after his move to Borussia Dortmund was officially confirmed.
He wrote: “Delighted to finally be here at this historic club, where it feels like home.
I’m so excited for our journey together, and to play in front of the best supporters on the planet.”
The post was met with plenty of support from players across the game, with Arsenal’s Declan Rice, Aston Villa’s Morgan Rogers and his brother Jude all liking the message.
Borussia Dortmund loanee from Chelsea Carney Chukwuemeka responded with a fingers-crossed emoji, while Burnley’s CJ Egan-Riley commented: “Top”.
Bellingham had been one of Sunderland’s standout performers since his arrival at the Stadium of Light, scoring four goals and providing three assists in 40 appearances last season.
His influence drew attention throughout the campaign, with Premier League clubs like Tottenham and Chelsea monitoring Bellingham closely. But in the end, the chance to follow in Jude’s footsteps proved too tempting to pass up.
Sunderland rule out Jordan Henderson return despite Bellingham departure

With promotion to the Premier League secured and Bellingham now gone, the club may look to bring in experienced reinforcements.
Former chairman Niall Quinn even urged Sunderland to make a move for Jordan Henderson, who began his career at the club.
However, reports have since confirmed that Sunderland have no current plans to pursue a return for Henderson — despite manager Regis Le Bris set to be backed in the transfer market.
While the link may persist, replacing a player as influential as Bellingham will be no easy task, and Sunderland may need to explore alternative options in the coming weeks.
