Declan Rice sends message to Arsenal teammate after Man City demolition

Declan Rice has sent a message to his Arsenal teammate Thomas Partey following their dominant victory against Man City.

The Gunners thrashed the defending Premier League champions 5-1 at the Emirates Stadium on Sunday (2 February), which was a scoreline that few people predicted ahead of kickoff.

Mikel Arteta’s team took the lead after two minutes through Martin Odegaard’s goal, and they went on to dominate the second half despite Erling Haaland drawing City level.

Partey scored just a minute after Haaland’s equalise as Myles Lewis-Skelly, Kai Havertz, and Ethan Nwaneri went on to find the back of the net.

The victory was a crucial one for the Gunners as it maintained the pressure on Liverpool at the top of the Premier League.

Arsenal currently sit just six points behind Arne Slot’s team, although Liverpool still boast a game in hand on them.

The 31-year-old has played 23 times in the Premier League this season and has also provided two assists.

The Ghana international is out of contract at the Emirates Stadium in the summer, which could mark this season as his last chance to win the Premier League with Arsenal.
