Diogo Jota came under fire for his performance in the Carabao Cup final and he felt the need to address the disappointment from Liverpool fans in a social media message.

Jota addressed Liverpool fans after the defeat, posting on Instagram: “Not good enough today! A very disappointing week for everyone that supports Liverpool… We will be back soon to fight for the league.”
His teammates, including Harvey Elliott and Darwin Nunez, both of whom came on as substitutes, showed their support by reacting to the post.
Liverpool fans have wanted Jota to be sold after his inconsistent performances this season, as well as his constant injury worries.
Their calls may be answered, as Football Insider revealed that Arsenal are considering a move for Jota this summer to strengthen their attacking options.
Despite the speculation, the Portuguese has played an important role under Slot, often preferred in the central forward role over Nunez. So far this season, he has registered eight goals and three assists in 1,481 minutes of football.
