Erik ten Hag: Man United deal may collapse as ‘nightmare’ claim issued – pundit
Gabby Agbonlahor has claimed Erik ten Hag could pull out of the running to become the next Man United manager.
Speaking exclusively to Football Insider, the ex-Aston Villa and England attacker claimed taking over at Man United would be a nightmare.
A club source told Football Insider on Monday (11 April) they are set to trigger the 52-year-old’s Ajax release clause and he is expected to accept the position as their new manager.

It has been suggested an announcement could be made after Ajax’s KNVB Cup final clash with PSV Eindhoven on Sunday (17 April).
But Agbonlahor has claimed the Dutchman may have second thoughts after United’s recent performances.
He told Football Insider correspondent Connor Whitley: “If I was Ten Hag, I, personally, would not join Man United.
“They have got a ridiculous amount of problems. Where do you even start with Man United? It’s a nightmare.
“What I took out of the Liverpool game with Man City was how far ahead they are of Chelsea and Man United and anyone else. They are a million miles ahead.
“Manchester United need a whole new team. I like Bruno Fernandes and I like Luke Shaw but apart from that they need a whole new XI to get anywhere close.
“I’d take four or five out of the starting team now and put them on the bench.”

United are six points behind the final Champions League place and have only won one of their last five Premier League games.
The Old Trafford club are next in action on Saturday (16 April) when Norwich City visit.
In other news, an ex-Fifa official has revealed the FA may take action against a Man United superstar as controversial footage emerges.
