Erik ten Hag tipped to build Man United side around four stars after source’s update – pundit
Erik ten Hag will build his Man United side around Bruno Fernandes, Jadon Sancho, Raphael Varane and David de Gea.
That is the view of ex-Premier League goalkeeper Paul Robinson, speaking exclusively to Football Insider, about the prospective appointment of Ten Hag, 52, at Old Trafford.
A United source told this site (11 April), Man United have chosen Ten Hag as their next permanent manager and are set to trigger his release clause at Ajax.

The Dutchman will be tasked with turning around a club that has failed to win a trophy since 2017.
Robinson believes only a few players are safe from the chop at Old Trafford.
“Bruno Fernandes is one,” he told Football Insider‘s Dylan Childs. “He has performed well regardless of the situation at United.
There is doubts over [Cristiano] Ronaldo and [Edinson] Cavani. Ten Hag has proved that he’s a top coach but he has not dealt with that level of player. The expectations at United are very different.
“Jadon Sancho is another player I think he’ll build around.

“David de Gea will retain his place I’m sure. You need to keep a spine as well so Varane will be another, without a doubt. He’ll prove to be a great signing. Next season he’ll return to his best.
“The four for me would be Sancho, Fernandes, Varane and De Gea. They will be key to the manager’s plans moving forward.”
In other news, Kieran Maguire has claimed Man United are jealous of Tottenham and two new confirmed appointments prove it.
