Everton fans will be livid if Pickford sold to Tottenham in January after Kieran Maguire’s £35m reveal – pundit
Noel Whelan has suggested Everton could cash in on Jordan Pickford amid reported interest from Tottenham.
The former Leeds striker, speaking exclusively to Football Insider, claimed the goalkeeper, Richarlison and Dominic Calvert-Lewin are the Toffees’ most sellable assets with the club hamstrung by financial fair play rules.
As reported by the Telegraph (18th November), Tottenham are plotting a raid for Pickford, 27, as they eye Hugo Lloris’ long-term successor.

The Toffees would be looking to make a healthy profit on the £25million spent on his signing in 2017.
Finance expert Kieran Maguire has revealed to Football Insider how Everton currently sit £35million behind their FFP target.
That has limited their ability to spend, as evidenced by their lack of transfer business this summer.
Whelan suggested Pickford, Richarlison and Calvert-Lewin are the trio Everton could cash in on to address their financial issues.
Whelan told Football Insider’s Russell Edge: “It would have to be a big, big price to prise Pickford away. They’re looking to build as well and compete with Tottenham.
“I think you look at three players: Calvert-Lewin, Richarlison and Pickford. They’re probably the three you’re going to capitalise on with a big sale.
“To get some big money into the club to settle down the finances and the debt, they’re the three you’re looking at.
“Is that really showing your aspirations of wanting to break into the top-six? That is what they said and designed to do two seasons ago?

“The money came in, they bought the players, they got the manager in. Now he has left, James Rodriguez has left.
“What are the fans going to think if you sell one of your biggest stars? They’re supposed to be building the team around them.”
In other news, Kieran Maguire claims Everton “absolutely delighted” as “£10million-a-year” windfall imminent.
