Everton fans will love new takeover option after 777 collapse – Kieran Maguire
Local businessmen Andy Bell and George Downing could enter the Everton takeover race with the 777 Parnters deal on the verge of collapse.
That is the view of finance expert Kieran Maguire, who exclusively told Football Insider that Everton fans would be welcoming to Bell and Downing as they are Evertonians themselves.
As revealed by Football Insider, Moshiri has pulled the plug on a takeover deal with 777 Partners, opening up bidding to other parties.
The Telegraph report that Andy Bell and George Downing have emerged as a new takeover option with the duo already invested in the club and interested in part-ownership.
It is understood that they could be involved in a consortium takeover alongside MSP Sports Capital, who could take majority control of the club.

Maguire explained that “all options are on the table” for a future Everton takeover deal.
“If we look at the different lenders to Everton football club, Andy Bell and George Downing have the advantage of being Evertonians,” Maguire told Football Insider’s Sean Fisher.
“They are successful in their own right and therefore you would imagine that fans would be welcoming them.
“Although the relationship between the fan base and Bill Kenwright did turn sour and he was also a very a proud Everton fan, the other alternative is MSP, who are owed substantial amounts by the club.

“That money is due for repayment but if they could reach a settlement to swap the money owed to them then that’s another consideration.
“It seems all options are on the table at the moment.“
