Everton-linked star sends six-word message to Jack Grealish after transfer talk
Kalvin Phillips has reacted to a new message from Everton loan star Jack Grealish amid reports of their interest in a move for him as he continues to struggle at Man City.
Kalvin Phillips has failed to make an impact at Man City since he joined them from his boyhood club Leeds for an initial £42million back in 2022.
The defensive midfielder has made just 31 appearances under Pep Guardiola in the three years since his move, and he spent time out on loan at West Ham in 2023-24 before moving to newly-promoted Ipswich Town for the 2024-25 campaign.
Another exit seemed likely this summer following his tough spell at Portman Road, with Football Insider revealing that Phillips was eager to re-join Leeds.
Football Insider have more recently revealed that Everton are plotting a January move for Phillips as he eyes a permanent City exit, with a potential reunion with Jack Grealish on the cards soon.

Kalvin Phillips reacts to Grealish’s new Everton message after late winner
Grealish moved from City to Everton on loan in the summer window, and he has been able to revitalise his struggling career on Merseyside so far.
The 30-year-old notched a late winner for the Toffees away at Bournemouth on Tuesday (2 December), and took to Instagram after the game to post pictures of his celebrations with a caption saying: “Get in there what a win with the bruvass!! Come on you toffees”
Phillips supported his old teammate and fuelled rumours of a move to Everton by reacting with a message that said: “What a sight love it brother” with fire and red heart emojis.
Everton face January competition for Phillips from Wolves
30-year-old midfielder Phillips has played just once for City so far this term, so is clearly not in Pep Guardiola’s plans for the future as they aim to get back to winning more silverware.
Everton are not the only club interested in a move, however, with Football Insider recently revealing that Wolves want to sign Phillips in January as well as Toffees star Dwight McNeil.

The Molineux outfit are rooted to the bottom of the Premier League table and could offer Phillips a huge increase in game-time as Rob Edwards aims to pull them out of the mire this season.
Wolves are expected to spend big in January in a desperate attempt to survive, and so the former England man could have a conundrum on his hands with a choice of them or Everton potentially on the cards.
