Ex-manager makes ‘incredible’ Traore claim as Tottenham battle Liverpool for deal
Alex McLeish has been dazzled by Adama Traore’s “remarkable” development at Wolves after Tottenham reportedly launched a loan-to-buy bid
The former Scotland boss, speaking exclusively to Football Insider, revealed he had tipped Nuno Espirito Santo to return to Molineux for at least one of his former players.
Football Insider has been told by a Spurs source that Wolves have rejected a loan-to-buy bid for Traore, while Liverpool are also keen to sign him and have made contact over a potential deal.

Nuno is pushing hard to get the 25-year-old to north London before the August 31st deadline.
However, Wolves will only sanction a guaranteed sale and want £40m for the wide man.
That could be a permanent move this month or a loan with an obligation, rather than option, to buy.
McLeish admitted he had been seriously impressed by Traore’s improved performances at Molineux.
He suggested he would offer a lot to the Spurs attack were he to make the move.
“That is no surprise for me that he’s (Nuno) come for the player,” McLeish told Football Insider’s Russell Edge.
“The improvement in his game from a couple of years ago, Traore, has been absolutely remarkable.
“There was a time when you thought: ‘Okay, he’s got all that speed but he’s not seeing the picture as much as he should.’
“Now he is. I saw him last week in the first league game and he should have scored a couple.
“You’re thinking he gets himself into incredible positions because of his amazing speed and strength.

“He will bring a lot to the team. It was was one I discussed with a couple of my pals, Spurs guys.
“I said I’m certain he’ll come back to Wolves for some of the players.”
