Exclusive: Jack Grealish ‘only has eyes for Everton’
Jack Grealish “only has eyes for Everton” when considering his long-term future, sources have told Football Insider.
The Manchester City loanee has excelled for the Toffees in the early months of the 2025-26 campaign, and that quickly prompted conversations regarding that move becoming permanent at the end of the season.
Football Insider revealed back in August that David Moyes was hopeful of reigniting Grealish’s career, and the early signs have been overwhelmingly positive so far this term.
The Merseysiders have the option to turn the 30-year-old’s loan deal into a permanent stay for a fee of £50million next summer, and sources have indicated that they currently hold all the cards as far as his future is concerned.

Man City close the door on Jack Grealish return amid £30m Everton update
Everton may be able to sign Grealish for £30m next summer, but that would depend on them backing out of their previous agreement with Manchester City.
The door would then be open for clubs elsewhere to try and launch a move for the England international at the reduced price, but the Toffees appear to have little to worry about in that respect.
Sources have told Football Insider that Grealish is “loving life” on Merseyside, as well as the opportunity to work under Moyes.
The possibility of him returning to City has now “well and truly closed,” and that has shifted the emphasis at the Etihad Stadium towards trying to find a permanent exit route for him.

Everton are firmly “in the box seat” to secure that all-important permanent agreement, regardless of whether anybody else comes to the table, such is the level of enjoyment that Grealish has gained from the move so far.
Grealish is among Premier League for unexpected stat
Grealish has had a transformative impact for Everton since his arrival at the end of the summer, and Moyes and Co. have undoubtedly got the best out of him so far this season.
Fans up and down the country have become accustomed to seeing the former Aston Villa star carrying the ball to devastating effect, but his all-around game has undoubtedly improved at the Hill Dickinson Stadium of late.
| Rank | Player | Key Passes |
| 1 | Bruno Fernandes | 45 |
| 2 | Jeremy Doku | 37 |
| 3 | Jack Grealish | 31 |
| 4 | Declan Rice | 28 |
| 5 | Dominik Szoboszlai | 28 |
Grealish ranks third in the entire Premier League for key passes so far this season, with only Bruno Fernandes and Jeremy Doku boasting a better total in that metric at the moment, according to Sofascore.
The wideman isn’t normally associated with his ability to unlock opposition defences with his vision, but he has been able to continually open up chances for his teammates with his ball-playing ability this term.
He has been excelling for Everton in almost every aspect under Moyes’ guidance in 2025-26, and they will surely be doing everything they can to try and reach an agreement with City over a permanent switch.
