Exclusive: Jobe Bellingham could join English club in January after Borussia Dortmund breakdown
Jobe Bellingham could be set for a dramatic Borussia Dortmund exit in January with a return to England on the cards, sources have told Football Insider.
Bellingham completed a move from Sunderland to Dortmund in the summer, for an initial fee of £27.8million.
However, the 20-year-old has had a tough time in Germany and has started just two Bundesliga games for Niko Kovac’s side so far this season.
His mistake proved costly in Dortmund’s 2-1 defeat to Bayern last weekend although he bounced back on Tuesday night with two assists – his first goal contributions for the club – in the team’s Champions League win over Copenhagen.
With the January transfer window approaching, there are now doubts about the England Under-21 international’s future at the club.

Bellingham set for January loan move
Sources say that Borussia Dortmund could loan out Bellingham in January, as he struggles for game time with the German club.
There is potential that the former Sunderland man could complete a return to England when the window reopens, on a temporary basis.
The relationship between the midfielder and Borussia Dortmund is still tense, following a bust-up earlier in the season.
Bellingham’s father, Mark, confronted Dortmund sporting director Sebastian Kehl when his son was subbed off at halftime of his debut against St Pauli in August.
The 49-year-old has now been banned from all dressing room areas as a result of the altercation.
Premier League giant interested in Bellingham
Football Insider revealed on 10 September that Manchester United are keen to sign a new midfielder and are assessing multiple options for the position.

Reports have now claimed Bellingham is on their list of targets amid question marks about his long-term future in Germany.
United have been long-term admirers of the midfielder, while Football Insider revealed in February that Crystal Palace and Tottenham scouts were also tracking Bellingham, before his move to Dortmund.
