Exclusive: Tottenham set sights on sensational Jack Grealish deal
Tottenham have set their sights on a sensational deal to sign Jack Grealish amid doubts over his Man City future, sources have told Football Insider.
This comes after former Spurs scout Mick Brown told Football Insider on 5 November that City could be open to offers for the England international at the end of the season.
Ange Postecoglou is keen to bolster his attacking options and wants to bring a new profile into his squad, and the 29-year-old fits the bill.
Spurs are keen to add quality and experience to their attack, while the forward’s ball-carrying abilities are viewed as a key addition to the squad.
There is a feeling at the club that they need to bring in a player capable of slowing down the game, with Grealish’s ability to draw fouls and drag the team forward a valuable asset.
However, it is unlikely a deal will be agreed in January as City are keen to keep their squad players on the books amid a growing injury crisis.
