Expert issues ‘bully’ claim amid Celtic signing update
Frank McAvennie has claimed that Celtic are missing a ‘bully’ in the team.
Speaking exclusively to Football Insider, the ex-Celtic striker said that the Hoops are lacking aggression in the side after the departure of Scott Brown last year.
The former skipper departed Celtic at the end of the 20/21 season, the club announced, after the Glasgow side missed out on securing their tenth league title in a row.

Celtic have already signed Benjamin Siegrist and are closing in on a deal for left back Alexandro Bernabei.
But McAvennie believes a personality like Brown’s is what the side are still lacking.
When asked if the side have been missing the ex-midfielder’s aggression, McAvennie told Football Insider: “I really do.
“Everyone needs it, everyone needs a player like that. You need that leadership.
“Callum McGregor is the captain but he leads in different ways from Scott Brown, he leads by example. But Scott Brown would put a tackle in and scream at players and organise things.
“Callum can organise and he can make things happen that’s why he’s the captain. But they need someone who’s going to steady the ship and that’s something Celtic haven’t had.
“Especially in Europe, we got caught out a few times.

“But the manager listens and he’s bringing in quality so I think whoever he brings in, the Celtic supporters will give him the thumbs up.”
Scott Brown made 520 Scottish Premiership appearances, scoring 41 goals and providing 54 assists in the Scottish top flight.
In other news, Celtic could sign Josip Juranovic’s replacement after journalist’s update.
