Expert loves what he’s heard about Mikey Moore from Spurs sources – ‘they’re all talking about him’
Everyone at Tottenham is talking about how Mikey Moore has what it takes to reach the top of the game.
That is according to Spurs and youth football expert John Wenham, who regularly attends Premier League 2 and other youth games up and down the country.
Moore, 15, has impressed for Spurs’ various youth sides this season, making twelves appearances and registering five goal contributions.
Wenham previously told this site that Moore is an “outstanding” prospect who is playing well above his level.
After speaking to various people at the club, Wenham has doubled down on this claim.
“There has been a big deal about a player Man City have just signed from Sheffield United, a lot of teams wanted him,” Wenham told Football Insider correspondent Ben Wild.
“I have spoken to a lot of people at Tottenham and people who know their stuff about youth football and they all say Mikey Moore is better than him.
“That’s how highly they rate this guy. Everyone I speak to claims he has what it takes to go to the very top level. Even players a couple of years old, they’re all talking about him.
“After I watch him this week I am sure I will have even more to say but this guy is so exciting.
“He is making a load of progress too as he is playing a few age groups higher than he was expected to this season.
“So it’s all really encouraging and I can’t wait to watch him in the FA Youth Cup this week.”
