Expert reveals new Tottenham asking price for Kane as major development reported
Man United will have to pay Tottenham £150million to sign Harry Kane this summer.
That is according to Spurs insider John Wenham, who regularly breaks news about the club on his Lilywhite Rose social media channels.
On Monday (28 March) The Athletic reported Kane, 28, is a summer target for Man United regardless of who is appointed as their permanent manager.
It was also reported Tottenham would look for a fee of more than £100million if there are any approaches for their star man this summer.
Wenham insists the club will not back down from their stance last summer and admitted he can’t see Kane joining Man United in any case.
“I’ve just read that report, I think it’s too early to establish whether that is a move that could happen,” Wenham told Football Insider correspondent Ben Wild.
“A lot depends on where the clubs finish and the finances involved. Last summer, the move to City would have happened if a realistic offer came in.
“We wanted £150million and that offer never came in. I don’t see that position changing this summer.
“It looks to me like Spurs will finish above Man United, if that’s in the top four then there is zero chance Kane would give up Champions League football to join them.
“They also haven’t won a trophy for a number of years now. There is no more guarantee that you are more likely to win a trophy at Man United.
“If Tottenham finish in the top four, I just don’t see him leaving unless someone offers £150million.

“That move to Man United isn’t what it used to be when Berbatov and Carrick made it years ago.
“It’s not a big leap forward anymore.”
